2011 Morocco vs. Lithuania Davis Cup
Nova Sports USA, Inc. is proud to be the acrylic surfacing provider of the July, 2011 Davis Cup match between Morocco and Lithuania. Lithuania’s SEB Arena (Vilnius) will be hosting the event on their newly surfaced outdoor Ultracushion® courts. This is the 3rd Davis Cup Tournament for SEB Arena since opening its doors in late 2009.
2011 ITA Men’s Indoor Championships
The University of Virginia captured its record breaking fourth consecutive ITA Division I Indoor title at the University of Washington’s Nordstrom Tennis Center.
The top ranked Cavaliers defeated No. 3 Tennessee 4-0 in a rematch of the 2010 championship game. The Nordstrom Tennis center contains six Novacrylic Novacoat® tennis courts with seating for up to 300 spectators. The facility was surfaced in Canadian Violet® to match the University of Washington’s school color theme. Along with being a top venue for competitive tennis the tennis center has been named a USTA “Outstanding Facility”.
2011 World Group Davis Cup
Nova Sports USA is proud to be the acrylic surfacing provider for the March, 2011 (World Group) Davis Cup match between the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan. Over 10,000 daily spectators watched this highly anticipated event at the newly surfaced Cez Arena in Ostrava (Czech Republic). Event organizers chose the Novacrylic Ultracushion® system (ITF Classified Category 4) for the tournament’s single stadium court. For more information please contact us at info@novasports.com
LEED + Novacrylic
Nova Sports customers may now earn up to three (LEED) credits towards their environmentally sustainable construction project.
SRI: Five Novacrylic colors qualify for 1 (LEED) credit based on their solar reflective index (SRI). Reflective colors lessen the heat island effect and reduce the amount of daylight heat absorbed by the asphalt/concrete base. Grass Green, Red, Terracotta, Burgundy and Classic Green qualify for the SRI credit.
VOC: Indoor projects using Nova Sports products may receive 1 (LEED) credit based on the brands low VOC formulation.
Locally Produced: Products manufactured within 500 miles of a specific project are considered locally produced and qualify for 1 (LEED) credit
New Ultracushion M®
Our new ITF classified category 3 (medium) play surface was developed to meet the demand of a slower paced cushion surface. The Ultracushion® M is now one of only two ITF (medium play) classified surfaces available domestically. 2010 Great Britain vs. Lithuania Davis Cup
Nova Sports USA, Inc. is proud to be the acrylic surfacing provider of the March, 2010 Davis Cup match between Great Britain and Lithuania. Over 2,500 spectators watched Lithuania’s Davis Cup team defeat Great Britain (3-2) at the newly constructed SEB Arena in Vilnius. The arena is Eastern Europe’s largest tennis complex and has hosted two Davis Cup matches in the first 18 months of its opening. 2010 Davis Cup organizers gave the facility top marks including the highest rating of (9) to the tennis center’s 19 Ultracushion® courts.
2009 India National Games
The Indian Olympic Association in a joint effort with the Jharkhand Olympic Association has constructed a 325 acre mega sports complex outside the city of Ranchi, India. Designers toured the Olympic village in Sydney along with national stadiums in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore in an effort to incorporate features of the finest international sports facilities. Nova Sports USA along with our installer Harrison Industries (Delhi, India) have been chosen to surface the complex’s seven new courts including a 2,100 seat championship court. The stadium court will host India Olympic Association tournaments along with all future India National Games.
Lithuania vs. Geogia 1st Round Davis Cup
The newly constructed Lithuanian National Tennis Complex located in Vilnius has chosen our Novacushion and Ultracushion surfacing systems for their 15 indoor and 4 outdoor courts. The project was completed by MS Sport & Design of Riga, Latvia and is intended to be the premiere tennis facility in Eastern Europe. The complex will house various national and international tennis competitions including the European Championships and the 2009 1st round Davis Cup tournament between Lithuania and Georgia. The tennis center plans on servicing 300,000 guests annually and contains restaurants, shopping, fitness center and a 200 room upscale hotel. The development of the project was supported through the European Union’s structural support fund and has been named “an object of national importance” by the republic of Lithuania. Lithuania’s Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas and Tennis Europe President Jacques Dupre took part in the September 25th ribbon cutting ceremony alongside representatives from MS Sport & Design (Riga, Latvia) and Nova Sports USA.

Novacrylic® Chosen for USTA Facility of The Year
The University of Minnesota's Baseline Tennis Center has been awarded the 2008 USTA facility of the Year. The tennis center's 10 indoor and 12 outdoor courts have been surfaced with our Novacoat® system in a special "Golden Gopher" Maroon shade for the inside playing area and Grey for the outside playing area. The tennis center is used by the University of Minnesota men's and women's tennis programs along with being open year round to the general public. The Baseline Tennis Center was chosen out of the nations top 2,100 "Tennis Welcome Centers" and is the second straight USTA Facility of The Year surfaced with Nova (2007 USTA Facility of The Year, South East Park, Columbia, SC).
